Kjellberg awareded Gold medal by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering & Science.

Oscar Kjellberg died on the 5th July 1931.
Walter Edström appointed as the new President of ESAB.

ESAB-Iberica S.A., Madrid, Spain, is founded.
ESAB S.A., Brussels, Belgium, and PEAS in Prague in Czechoslovakia are established.

Welding Supplies Ltd, England, and ESAB-Denmark are set up.

ESAB-Elettrodi Rivestiti S.A., Milan, Italy is established.

The first issue of ESAB’s technical publication Svetsaren is published.

The Submerged Arc Welding method is invented.

Kjellberg-Eberle GmbH, Germany, is founded, and ESAB begin manufacture of cutting machines.
ESAB Norway is set up.

ESAB Welding Corporation in the USA is established.
