Colfax and ESAB Inspire Growth And Opportunity During A Dazzling Evening In Shanghai

April 27th 2017 marked a special evening for Colfax and ESAB with dinner and cocktails on the magnificent Huangpu River in Shanghai, China.

Set to the stunning backdrop of "the mother river of Shanghai", Matt Trerotola, CEO of Colfax, addressed guests on the subject of Colfax's strategy moving into a period of improving global industrial growth and improving growth in China.

Stronger together, stronger tomorrow

Colfax executives and the ESAB management team joined Matt in the beautiful Bund Panorama hotel to discuss the importance of communication with between ESAB and its distributors in order to understand the product requirements of the Chinese market. Matt explained that this will be achieved through open and free communication in order to better understand the market, help to strengthen investment and allow the company to focus on the higher value opportunities for selling ESAB's industry leading cutting and welding technologies.

Matt Trerotola says, "When we bought ESAB we were very excited about the strong position in high growth markets like China and, we still see China as a key strategic growth priority."

Matt went on to explain the concept of Stronger Together, Stronger Tomorrow as a system of mutual trust and collaboration between distributors and ESAB in order to, together, find new and beneficial opportunities for a stronger future.

Since purchasing ESAB in 2012, Colfax, specialists in fluid handling and mechanical power transmission sectors, has gone from strength to strength and the company's CEO believes that a strong relationship with China will cement the company's reputation as a world leader.

Matt finished his speech with, "It is clear from my visits that automation and robotics are big opportunities here in China and, we have projects underway which will further strengthen our offerings giving us an exciting future together and helping our customers to become more productive."
